About me
My name is Becky and I’m an integrative counsellor. I am passionate about supporting people through difficult times and helping them recognise their own strengths and resilience. I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood and accepted.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, lost or in need of a space to talk, counselling can offer the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement at your own pace. As an integrative counsellor, I tailor my approach to the individual, recognising that no two people, families, or experiences are the same.
My aim is to build a warm and trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore what is troubling you and work towards the changes that matter to you.
Areas I commonly work with include:
- anxiety, stress and emotional wellbeing
- self-esteem, confidence and identity
- relationship, family and communication difficulties
- grief, loss and bereavement
- life transitions, personal growth and change
- supporting children, teenagers and young adults with confidence, friendships, identity, school pressures and family changes
- helping families strengthen relationships, improve communication and navigate periods of conflict.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming and it isn't always easy to make sense of things on your own. I deliver individual counselling so you can talk openly about what is going on for you, gain a deeper understanding of yourself and explore ways of moving forward.
I also offer family therapy so family members can come together to explore difficulties, improve understanding and strengthen relationships. Unlike individual counselling, family therapy focuses on the family as a whole, helping everyone feel heard, understood and valued.
If you have a young person in your family facing challenges around confidence, friendships, identity, family relationships, school pressures, or emotional wellbeing, I can also offer support. I am a strong believer in the value of early support so that young people can build resilience and develop healthy ways of coping with life’s challenges.
I understand that seeking support isn't always easy. If you'd like to find out more or arrange an initial consultation please get in touch.
