I have over 20 years’ experience working with adults, couples, families, and young people. I support clients to overcome self-limiting beliefs so that you can release your full potential and thrive. I particularly specialise in working with neurodiverse couples.
About me
I’m Maria, a Relate-trained integrative relationship therapist. I offer a safe and non-judgemental space for you to gently explore your issues at your own pace. I work with couples, families, adults, and young people from age 13 upwards.
I hold 20 years’ experience working with a wide range of clients, particularly couples where one or both partners are neurodivergent. Additionally, I’ve worked as a schools counsellors in primary and secondary schools in Cambridge.

I help people break free from self-limiting beliefs, gently encouraging clients to recognise and change unhelpful thinking and behaviour patterns. Once you understand how to overcome these thought processes, you will begin to realise your full potential and thrive.
My work is client-centred and draws on several theoretical models. I work with psychodynamic, attachment, systemic, and solution-focused therapy, although I also dip into other models. By using a combination of these theories, I can tailor our work to what best suits you as an individual adult, couple, family, or young person.
Qualifications & Experience
- Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling
- Postgraduate diploma in Couples Therapy
- Foundation Graduate certificate in Couples Counselling
- Certificate of completion of systemic practice training, working with families
- Relate Institute Certificate in counselling Children
- Counselling young people course, completed with the Relate Institute
- Solution-focused therapy course, completed with the Relate Institute
- Training in Understanding and working with neurodiversity
