I can support you with a variety of issues, from bereavement to abuse to neurodivergence. I hold an MA in Psychotherapy and offer long or short-term counselling.

About me

Hello, I’m Yolanda, an experienced and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I hold an MA in Psychotherapy and have experience working in private practice and within the charity sector, with a particular focus on supporting young people.

I practice an open, pluralistic form of counselling that can be adapted to the unique needs of each client. I tailor the ways I work to provide the most suitable therapeutic approach for each client, as no two people are alike.

Some people may want a solution-focused approach, seeking practical strategies and clear outcomes to address their challenges efficiently. Others may prefer a more open-ended process, valuing the space to talk, reflect, and explore their thoughts and feelings without the pressure of arriving at immediate answers.

I aim to help each client develop understanding and insight into their emotions, thoughts and behaviours, and support them in overcoming difficulties. I have experience of working with various issues including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Neurodivergence
  • Bereavement and feelings of loss
  • Poor self-esteem
  • Traumatic experiences
  • Social phobia
  • Physical, sexual, and mental abuse
  • Relationship problems (family/partners/friends)
  • Problems at work
  • Loneliness
  • Sleeping difficulties
  • Life changes

Counselling with me can be long-term or short-term. Usually, short-term, time-limited counselling will be more structured and goal-oriented.

If it sounds like we could be a good fit based on the information above, get in touch for a free consultation.
