I’m a person‑centred and CBT‑trained counsellor supporting adults and young people aged 12 and above with anxiety, trauma responses, and identity issues. I offer compassionate, strengths‑based therapy shaped with a grounded, human approach.
About me
I’m Laura, a person‑centred counsellor with additional training in CBT. I work with empathy and ensure there is unconditional positive regard at the heart of every session.
My work as a counsellor and the way I connect with clients has been shaped by my own mental health journey and my experience as a mum. I’ve worked with parents, carers, students, adults and young people aged 12 and over.
Some of the issues I’ve supported clients with include:
- anxiety
- self-confidence
- identity
- trauma responses
- boundaries
- overwhelm
- the emotional impact of long-term health conditions
- complex life transitions
My approach is strengths‑based and collaborative — helping you recognise what’s already within you while offering practical tools when needed. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and work within safeguarding and supervision frameworks to ensure safe, ethical practice.
In-person Location
I offer in-person therapy sessions in St Helens, WA10
