I am a neurodivergent, queer Londoner who spent many years feeling out of place, and wondering when I would start to feel "normal". Does this sound familiar? Let's explore this together.
About me
Hello, my name is Gemma, and I am a therapeutic counsellor accredited with the NCPS.
I am an AuDHD person and have often felt like a square peg in a round hole. For much of my younger life, I felt out of place and wondered when I would start to feel “normal.” If this sounds familiar, maybe I can help.
I warmly welcome neurodivergent minds and those exploring neurodivergence, drawing on both my professional knowledge and lived experience. I also warmly welcome members of the LGBTQ+ community, as both an ally and a member myself.
I provide a non-judgmental, confidential, and safe space to support people through a range of mental health challenges. I also bring lived experience to much of my work, having personally faced many of the same issues that my clients explore in therapy.
Some of theses include:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Identity
- Autistic burnout
- Domestic abuse and recovery
- Self-esteem
- Workplace stress
My training is grounded in Transactional Analysis and a person-centred approach. With additional training in working with young people, including time spent at The BRIT School as a school counsellor, and supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse at Sutton Women’s Centre.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent 15 years in the fast-paced corporate media industry. I understand the pressures that come with this lifestyle—burnout, bullying, loneliness, existential questions, and a sense of disconnection. “Where does my role end and where do I begin?”
Together, we can create a safe space for curiosity, exploration, and growth.
