Whether you're navigating a romantic relationship, a specific family dynamic, or your relationship with yourself, I offer a safe, secure space to work through life’s challenges.
About me
Hi, I’m Nicola, a qualified psychodynamic, systemic, and relationship counsellor. I provide counselling for people experiencing issues in their relationships, whether they are with intimate partners, friends, or family members. I also offer individual counselling for adults and young people.
Whatever your reasons for seeking counselling, know that your thoughts and feelings are valid and important. In my 14 years as a counsellor, I’ve had the pleasure of forming many strong therapeutic relationships. Positive relationships that we build are a huge part of our journey toward self-belief, discovery, and change.
My aim is always to create a welcoming, non-judgemental environment. My desire is for you to feel heard, understood, supported, and validated. I can empower you to find strength and resilience, alongside a deeper understanding of yourself and your thoughts. Together, we can create a space where personal growth, happiness, healthier relationships, and most importantly, hope, is possible.
If you’re looking to find a path towards effective communication, conflict navigation, and emotional availability, counselling is the right choice for you. I can help you identify a desired outcome and work past stuck patterns of behaviour. We can explore your triggers of stress and distress together, shining a light on possible unhealthy family scripts.
With a deeper understanding of yourself, you can regain the power to make more informed choices, and this in turn can strengthen your relationships. Your story matters, and how you change yourself can have a ripple effect across all of your relationships.
I am a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to their Ethical Framework/Code of Ethical Practice, which includes keeping my skills up to date through a programme of continuing professional development and training.
