About me 

Hi, I’m Shirley, an individual and relationship counsellor. 

As a registered nurse for over 30 years, undertaking training to be a relationship counsellor was a natural progression for me. 

My extensive counselling training with Relate has enabled a deep and complex exploration of major issues that can impact people’s lives, and in turn, relationships. 

I’ve worked with clients on issues like differences in religion and culture, as well as the impact of life changes. 

My approach using systemic and integrative modalities aims to identify the cause(s) for ruptures in relationships. I support couples to work together and create a deeper understanding of  how their relationship functions and why it functions the way it does.  

My process may involve homework, exploration, and challenges to develop growth in your knowledge of you and your relationship. It’s then up to you to decide what’s best for you going forward.
